DESIGN MANAGER – AOPA, Frederick, MD

Summary:  The design manager is responsible for providing leadership to the creative team, organizing project flow and managing creative requests to ensure timely delivery of exceptional work product.  Duties: Develop design solutions for both campaigns and individual marketing initiatives●Provide direction and guidance to creative staff to ensure accurate brand direction as well as delivery of the business objectives set forth by each project●Collaborate with the traffic team to maintain clear communication on project specifications, information required for design staff and creative projects assigned●Communicate clearly and effectively with all stakeholders before, during and post-project delivery   ●Ensure all projects assigned are delivered on time●Manage outsourcing of creative projects as deemed necessary based on workflow and workload of the team●Work cross functionally to recommend improvements.  Requirements:  Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, ●Graphic Design, Communications or equivalent ● Five years of experience in a brankmarketing, agency or related experience●Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, needing minimum direction●Strong project and time management skills●Outstanding written and oral communication skills●Strong collaboration, team building, leadership and personnel development skills●Ability to work within a dynamic, fast-paced team environment●Experience managing people●Experience designing for both web and print.  ●Knowledge of direct response design considered a plus.  To apply for this position with Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) please send resumes toKacey.sanders@aopa.org.  AOPA offers a comprehensive benefits package that reflects how much we care about our employees.
