Comprehensive Financial Services - Director of Marketing & Communications

Position Overview:

Directly oversee marketing, communications, and technology functions. Work closely with the Advisors and Management Team to develop, implement and track marketing initiatives. Create and execute sales and marketing plans / initiatives to build firm awareness and generate revenue growth through effective use of marketing strategies and technology platforms: website, social media, CRM, electronic client communication programs. Technology savviness required to develop and implement program integrations. Plan and implement sales, marketing and communication activities to meet firm targets for growth, client retention and firm profitability.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 Conduct all aspects of their work and duties with honesty, integrity and accuracy.

 Follow all securities industry compliance, regulatory and licensing requirements as issued by the Broker / Dealer, FINRA and the SEC.

 Adhere to all legal business requirements on the local, state and federal levels.

 Work closely with branch OSJ and our Broker / Dealer compliance team to ensure all information meets regulatory guidelines.

 Exercise complete confidentiality with all client, firm and financial advisor data.

 CFS communications manager will disseminate the firm’s client and prospect communications incorporating our mission, vision, values. Communications are used with a range of audiences, including prospects, clients, media, centers of influence, local employers, strategic partners, and so forth.

 Plan and implement firm marketing strategy, utilizing a range of media and tools, such as graphic design, monthly webcasts, direct print and electronic communications, events, social media, and advertising.

 Maintain and develop firm image and reputation in accordance with our mission, vision and

purpose statements.

 Manage the development and enhancement of the firm’s web presence, including public web site and client portals.

 Social media maintenance, development and marketing strategies – Facebook and Linked-In.

 Coordinate client communications such as email blasts, marketing campaigns and direct mailing campaigns.

 Asist with client CRM database - maintenance, workflows and opportunities.

 Ability to communicate verbally with high net worth clients and prospects.

 Willingness to call clients and prospects related to marketing campaigns, initiatives and to set appointments as needed.

 Develop resource planning and marketing budgets.

 Select and manage internal and external resources according to agreed-upon budgets.

 Develop, market, organize and attend financial advisor presentations and seminars

 Organize client and prospect social events.

 Willing to work some evenings and weekends associated with client and / or marketing events.

 Attend conferences and trade shows as appropriate.

 Public relations activities to include all forms of media and various social events.

 Assist with community outreach.

 Maintain and implement technology upgrades and system integrations.

 Liaison with Tech Support – Impact Technology.

Required Skills and Experience

 5 years+ experience marketing, promotion and communications experience

 Proficient with Windows based software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

 Knowledge and proficiency of Photo Shop / Adobe Acrobat Products, CRM (Redtail), web site vendors,

social media platforms.

 Knowledge of the financial services business.

 Knowledge of marketing and sales principles, including marketing planning, strategy and tactics.

 Understanding of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods; including alternative ways to inform via written, oral and visual media.

 Exceptional written and oral communication capabilities.

 Knowledge, structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.

 Must be proactive and able to work in a cross-functional team environment.

 Must consistently provide clients with friendly, courteous and quality communication.

 Excellent follow-up and follow-through capabilities.

 Organized, detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.

 Able to interact well with sophisticated, high-net- worth clients and prospects.

 Able to manage others, assign appropriate tasks and lead the overall organization in communication and technology initiatives.

 Able to exercise good judgement, prioritize and rectify urgent communication and technology initiatives.

Licenses and Education

 Bachelor’s degree in marketing or graphic design preferred.
