Tax Foundation – a 79-year-old nonpartisan, non-profit organization that has curated a reputation as one of the most effective policy think tanks in the nation – seeks a Manager of Donor Communications who will be responsible for our direct mail (house file) and acquisition programs to increase the number of supporters and revenue. Several thousand individuals support Tax Foundation programs each year, and this position will direct sophisticated and timely content (mail and e-mail) to them to warrant continuing and increased giving. This person must be self-starting and organized, able to set and meet metrics and deadlines, and ready to join an amazing team of fundraising professionals. The right candidate must also believe strongly in the Tax Foundation mission of pushing the tax reform debate toward smarter policies. Ideal Skill Sets: A minimum of three years of experience in non-profit individual donor fundraising, or equivalent experience in strategic planning, persuasive communications, sales, or a related job; Results-oriented, strong organization skills, and solid attention to detail; Able to think strategically, drive projects, meet deadlines, develop and execute plans effectively; Excellent written and verbal communication and donor-engagement skills, projecting a positive and optimistic attitude; Good judgment, discretion, and maturity.
